Review: Next-Gen 2024 Chevy Impala
Nowadays developments in the automotive world continue to grow where most new car buyers now only want crossovers, SUVs and pickups, therefore top automotive companies focus on these models. That’s despite the prices of traditional sedans and other previously popular body styles.
The Chevrolet Impala was one option that was discontinued after the 2020 model year, or Jlord8, which began to explore what could be possible using the Cadillac CT6.
The premium four-door car retains its overall design and gets a fresh facelift inspired by the tenth generation Impala.
2024 Chevy Impala Reviews
According to information reported by Rhian Hunt from GMAuthority, the Chevy Impala was named the winner of the 2024 Lowest CPO Ownership Cost Award in the Large Sedan category in the Vincentric Passenger Car segment which is a certified used car (CPO).
According to Vincentric, the Chevy Impala leads the category because it costs $8,086 less to own than the most cost-effective certified pre-owned large sedan, and outperforms its three competitors.
However, the Chevy Impala’s annual Cost to Own award is not the same as the Vincentric Best CPO Value in America award. Both returns are determined through an examination of “depreciation, costs and taxes, financing, fuel, insurance, maintenance, opportunity costs, and repairs.”
Apart from that, on the other hand, the Chevymodel media site reports that for the model 2024 Chevy Impala is not a muscle vehicle, and 4-door muscle cars are nothing new, but this is a niche market dominated by, among others, the Cadillac CT5-V, Chrysler 300C, and Dodge Charger.
With this revised design, Chevy may offer the 2024 Impala SS as an expanded 4-door Camaro or bring back the original Impala platform.
Interestingly, the newly rendered 2024 Chevy Impala SS retains much of the front end of the previous (10th) generation Impala, with the addition of a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat-inspired double hood scoop and a more aggressive bumper layout than the previous car, as well as a subtle splitter.
2024 Chevy Impala Design
The design report by Cristian Gnaticov of Autoevolution says the headlights, grille and lower side bumper trim are taken from the decommissioned sedan, as are the logos on the front doors and C-pillar.
The taillights appear to be inspired by the Impala, as is the profile, except for the door handles. and side mirrors, which are different, as well as special badges on the front fenders, which are omitted.
2024 Impala Powertrain
The entire range of its premium sibling engines, including the snappy 4.2-liter twin-turbo V8, would certainly be compatible with such a car.
However, the CT6 was also dropped from the brand’s US lineup, and as a sedan it has lost a lot of ground among high-end drivers.
2024 Impala Release Date
If the model is approved for production and not cancelled, we expect the upcoming 11th-generation 2024 Impala to hit the market sometime in the 2020–2021 model year. Until then, we expect minor changes, upgrades, and improvements to the existing tenth-generation Impala.
