The Next Generation 2025 Chevy Traverse Reviews

The 2025 Chevrolet Traverse is a three-row midsize SUV. It sits above the two-row Blazer in Chevy’s lineup and the larger Tahoe is available for customers who need more space.

In a report we got on the Chevy Model the online media site, the difference between the 2025 Chevy Traverse and the truck-based Tahoe is that the Traverse is more like an SUV in general, with a smoother ride and better fuel economy. The third-generation Traverse was just updated last year, so no major changes are expected in 2025.

Unlike the truck-based Tahoe, the Chevy Traverse is more like a regular SUV with a smoother ride and higher fuel economy.

This third-generation Traverse was just renovated last year, so we don’t expect any significant modifications in 2025.

2025 Chevy Traverse Review Updates

In the Spy-Shot, this prototype model appears to have a flatter roof from the side. The wheelbase could also be shortened to differentiate it from the similarly sized Chevrolet Tahoe.

There’s still enough room in the back for a third row, which will be positioned in front of a squared-off rear with a flatter lift gate.

This test vehicle clearly had placeholder taillights, which implies that the production version will have thinner and narrower lenses.

What’s going on under the new skin? At this early point, our spy sources have no information regarding powertrain details. The current Traverse has a 3.6-liter V6 engine with 310 horsepower and no hybrid option.

The presence of a prominent exhaust port emphasizes the presence of internal combustion power in the next generation, and of course there are smaller turbocharged engines in the General Motors family that could replace the six-pot.

2025 Chevy Traverse Interiors

So far there is nothing official regarding the Interior but some sources assume that a major facelift with a larger touchscreen will be included.

To satisfy Traverse buyers, cleaner styling similar to the current Chevrolet Trailblazer may be necessary, albeit with a more premium touch.

Verdict

The Chevrolet Traverse has always had plenty of interior space, and the newest model is no exception. Adults have plenty of room in all three rows, with easy access to the rear seats.

The third row of many other three-row SUVs is best suited to smaller passengers, but you don’t have to worry about that with the Traverse.

Cargo space is also plentiful, with a maximum capacity of 97.6 cubic feet. It’s the largest vehicle in its class, slightly ahead of the Volkswagen Atlas.

With its new facelift, the Traverse now has a better chance of competing with the class-leading Kia Telluride and the related Hyundai Palisade. The Volkswagen Atlas, Toyota Grand Highlander, and Hyundai Santa Fe are other popular midsize three-row SUVs.
